Commercial Description:
This beer is our American-style hefeweizen. Brewed with 50% wheat malt, Ocracoke American Wheat is a tangy, medium-bodied treat that is a crowd favorite here at the Brewhouse. Served unfiltered, this ale is delicious with or without the orange slice. ABV 4.6%

Sampled on draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy yellowish peach color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is faint with bready and spice notes. Taste is very fruity with big citrus notes as well as bread, yeast, spice and a bitter rye-like bite. Medium bodied.

Typical wheat cloudy body. Not typically a fan of wheat, however this one was refreshing. Great aftertaste. One to drink on a warm summers day. Would get this again.

Draught at brewpub. Pours a cloudy copper color with a foamy white head. Aroma is mostly banana. Tastes of simple sugar, little yeast, spice, light sweet fruit, and slight presence of hops. Finishes medium bodied and clean on the palate.
