Commercial Description:
This unfiltered India Pale Ale is brewed using traditional pale ale malts and four hop varieties. Hops are added in six stages, including a large addition of Cascade hops used for ‘dry’ hopping. Dry hopping is responsible for the huge, floral hop aroma that is this ale’s signature. This beer is a pale ale lover’s dream! Hopheads rejoice! lace just gets thicker and thicker, very creamy body does a great job of delivering the rich citrus hop flavor, pales in comparison to the Double Peg, fatigues by the time you get to the bottom of the pint

Draft sample at Knoxville Brew Jam. Poured a clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body. Heavy bitter flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Another good pale ale.

Draft at WBF Raleigh on 5/2/09. Amber bodied with a short white head. Aroma is citrus, hop oils, light sweet malt, and touches of caramel. Taste is more hops - light pine and citrus - with a solid malt backbone and light caramel. Body is medium and chewy with moderate carbonation. Ends with more citrus notes, hop oils, chewy, biscuity malt, and caramel. Nice!

Draught at the brewpub. Clear copper color with thin off white head. No lace. Attractive, aromatic flowery hop nose and flavor. Smooth with relatively little carbonation. Finish is slightly bitter. One of their better offerings.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear copper color with a medium creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Very pleasant citrus hop aroma. Taste is bitter and resiny citrus hops with some graininess. Faintly sticky texture. Medium bodied.
