Hanby Four Thumbs

Cask, Crown & Thistle. Excellent condition. A hearty ale with plenty of rough, earthy hops. Good toffee aroma. Darkly sweet with some fruit which is soon overtaken by the bitter hops but then returns in an interesting ballet with the increasingly zingy hops. A long developing finish which starts off with brown sugar but ends darkly bitter.
