33cl bottle. Almost no head. Nice warm red brown colour. A bit sweet in the nose, but not too dominant. The taste is for a 9,5% beer very smooth. Caramel is present, and in the finish a slight bitterness which just comes at the right time. I like this beer a lot

No head, aroma is weak, no bock aroma, however there is a pleasant aroma of plums and sweet malts, taste; Although it is a very strong beer ƙ,5%) you do not feel it so much during drinking, it comes afterwards , which is a good sign, there is some red wine taste, and here comes the typical bock taste, caramelly and bready, there is also some smoke and what the previous rater mjs noticed "saltiness" - it seems salted, a bit aicidic palate, medium to strong carbonation, the alc warms up very nicely

(Draught at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen, on 2009-09-15) Dark reddish brown and clear. Small white head. Sweetnes, malts and alcohol in aroma. Medium bodied and warming palate with medium carbonation. Malts, alchohol, sweetness, caramell, bitterness and saltiness in taste. Malty aftertaste.

(Bottled) Clear, dark, blood-red color with a small, tanned head. Mild, caramely-malty aroma with a touch of roastiness, oatmeal sourness, and alcohol. Sweet and honeyish-malty flavor with dried fruit notes. Alcohol is present, but smooth. Medium body, slightly fizzy but soft carbonation. A somewhat straightforward, but well-made and clean doppelbock.

On tap at Charlie’s. Poured brown with a red tinge, head was off-white. Aroma is full of spices, sweets and a touch of alcohol. The flavor is pleasant with malts, sweets and spices. Very enjoyable.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts malty and dry, strong, the finish is a bit moldy-scratchy. Not bad!

Bottle from Frederikshavn. Dark brown, lots of malt, caramel and assorted sweetness, related to an old fashioned Scandinavian Christmas Beer. Warming alcohol, could have done with more dryness to lift and balance it.
