Shining yellow color, long-lasting and much bubbly. Medium scent, enough simple and lightly aluminium. Moderate alcohol and malt aroma. Altogether pleasant but without relief notes. Slight caramel taste. Slight bubble gum taste. Light, chestnut huff and light appearance to its shine. Somewhat impressed, but I wasn’t expecting much. haukur (684), Reykjavik, Iceland

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 21, 2005 This beer is not all that bad. Tasted alone, without other food or drink, there is a pretty nice silky body and some decent malty flavor. The aroma is spicy hops. If taken with food, the beer is robbed of its malt character and all that is left is a grain husk emptiness, without malt sweetness. I experience the same phenomenon with DAB, and I think the beers are similar in other ways. Not as bad as all that, but I wouldn?t recommend it to anyone except hardcore pale lager enthusiasts. Light malt and corn aroma with adjunct thrown in for good measure and some dirty laundry. Color is light/medium gold. Flavor is bready (nice) with a touch of corn. Soft in the mouth and clean at the finish. A decent dortmunder but nothing special.
