| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 9, 2008 500ml bottle. My bottle is not labeled Export. Crystal clear golden straw color. Crisp tasting with a malty aroma. Very well balanced and subtle, something that doesn’t go far in the extreme world or ratebeer.com. A quite enjoyable beer, and a great value price-wise. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 25, 2007 500ml bottle - Pours clear yellow with a one finger head. Smells lightly of pale malt. The flavor is light and sweet with a hint of bitterness from what taste like low quality hops. It’s thin and watery with more character than some macro pale lagers, but still a pretty pointless beer. Why import it? estpiwo (499), Estonia

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 18, 2007 Though my label says Hansa Pure Quality Imported Dortmunder, I’m not sure if this is the correct place to put my rating. First off this is a surprising bottle, usually you get a little less than 12 oz from these foreign bottles but his is a big pint and it was only $1.20, what a deal. The bottle is odd in shape but I guess that is how they get so much in a short bottle. Candy mild aroma, taste is also candy like. Has the appearance of a typical ubiquitous pale yellow american lager. Rather enjoyable and easy to drink, I can get to like this, I think. Well of course I like lagers and this dort is as mild as most lagers. Quite a bargain for the price of this imported beer. Mild industrial bitterness overtakes the tastebuds after a few minutes in this session. Much more enjoyable than great lakes dort and victory v. Above average tingling carbonation that is certainly welcomed. An overly refined impact sticks on the back of your throat for a while once into the session. The finish is a mild bitter bite on the rear of your palate. Hudspart (372), Hudsonville, Michigan, USA
