Light-medium bodied, gentle carbonation. Not much for flavor evolution and lacking a bit in flavor definition, but its a quaffer. MoritzF (4954), Bochum, Germany

Slight sweet breadish malty aroma. Well balanced & easy going Dortmunder. Solid malty taste and a nice hoppy and dry finish. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Pale gold pour with small, rapidly dissipating, fizzy white head. Some corny malt, hops, citrus in the aroma and flavor. Light in body, and not complex. NosirIwont (1180), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 8, 2005 For an inexpensive canned dortmunder, this was a pleasant surprise. This has some tasty bready maltiness and is much better than the brewer’s pils. Poured pale gold with a solid 1cm head. Moderate head retention, hint of lace. Buttery malt in the sweetish aroma, plus bread and vanilla. Some mild caramel notes upfront and lots of bready malt. Medium-bodied, nice soft mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. No world-beater but respectable drinking in its price bracket. Cornfield (4940), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 24, 2005 From an oddly shaped bottle: Golden with a short-lived, good-lacing head/halo - the toasty, floral hop aroma promoised more than the taste delivered. Light-bodied and only mildly carbonated, it had a sweet grainy flavor with a decent balance of flowery and herbal hopping. Nice crisp finish.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 18, 2005 Bottle: pale golden lager with a thin, not long lasting fluffy froth; malty (+ bread+grain) nose with some fruity tinge; begins light malty, the surprisingly clean and crisp "Lager" taste end with some hoppy notes. This beer, created for busy coal-miners, is far better than expected (low budget brew) !
