faroeviking (4169), Faroese Beer Republic über, Denmark Jul 23, 2008 Draught. Hazy yellowcolour with a nice medium well lasting white head leaving a good lacing. Aroma of wheat and fruits with a mild sweetness. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is a bit sweet with wheat, banana and some coriander. Refreshing beer. yespr (6373), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 6, 2008 From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy to unclear yellow with a lacing chalk white head. Light estery fruity aroma. Flavour is sweet esters and wheaty. Medium dry ester fruity finish. Shows a somewhat bitter finish. yngwie (3529), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 23, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. Hazy, yellow beer, well carbonated and with a large, but diminishing white head. Leaves nice lacings. Banana-esters, wheat, spices, citrus and coriander in the aroma. Quite fruity flavor with banana, spices and citrus. Medium body and a long spiced and hopped finish. It’s maybe a bit too hopped, but it sure is refreshing. (060708) Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 12, 2005 (On tap) Honey golden and hazy with a small head. Dry, actually very dry. Less fruity than your typical Hefe with a surprisingly marked bitterness that doesn’t last for long though. Lovely freshness. 260602 Sigmund (1938), Hafrsfjord, Norway Aug 20, 2005 Draught at the brewpub / restaurant. Cloudy pale golden colour, good / moderate head. Cloves aroma and flavour. A light bodied and refreshing hefe, nothing special - but then, I like hefes, even if they’re not so special.
