Bottle at Redlight. Experimental Raspberry. This is vile. One of the worst things I have ever put in my mouth, and I used to eat glue. Astringent berry flavors, acetone and vinegar. It is disgusting.

labeled Experimental Raspberry. Vinegary nose with raspberries, light cherries, and strawberries. Pours a dark pink with no head and little to no carbonation. Acetone, vinegar, sour raspberry, not sure about this one. Too acidic.

Blush wine color. White carbonation. Holy acetic. All acid with a hint of raspberry in the nose. Same flavors with some funk and tartness. Not my thing. Juicy and lightly carbonated. Too much acetic for me.

Bottle: The aroma consists of lots of fresh sweet raspberries with a hint of tartness, vinegar, and oak. It pours a slightly hazy orangish-red with a small soapy ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor instantly hits you with some extreme lemony sourness. There is some light sweet raspberry flavors throughout. The finish is very acidic and has some hints of vinegar. Medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Split another bottle with northernbrews and the aroma was loaded with acetone and the flavor wasn’t nearly as sour. I’ve got a few more bottles and if the rest taste like this one, this rating will be dropping significantly.

Labeled Experimental Raspberry. Pour is a deep red with no head. Aroma is intense and complex with notes of raspberry, must, leather, horseblanket, and paint thinner. The taste is complex, highly acidic/acetic, ever changing, sweet raspberry, and borderline undrinkable. You will not forget this beer.

Bottle with label "Hanssens Lambic Experimental Raspberry." If this rating is in the wrong place, please let me know. Pour is hazy reddish purple color with no head or carbonation. Aroma is cranberry juice, barnyard, sourness, leather, wood, and notes of glue. Flavor has two simultaneous layers. The most potent is a funky sourness that hits hard at the back of the tongue and the soft palate. A little puckering, almost coughed. The other layer is a velvety, softly sweet, and subtly sour component that flows over the front of the tongue. This component also has a soft oakiness and notes of glue. The flavors become more cohesive as the beer warms and as my palate adjusts. Tasty.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Clear pink with no head. Intense raspberry aroma with some acetone. Medium body, completely flat, sweet fresh raspberry notes. Has some burning acetone fumes that make you cough. Very sour. 270609

(Draught) Pours a clear red body with no head. Aroma of earth, raspberry, horseblanket, and some paint thinner. Flavor of raspberry, extremely acidic, and vinegar. A raw tongue raper. Probably the tartest lambic I’ve tried!
