Blew the cork to the ceiling but the beer stayed put and didn’t foam, Poured down the glass side and got 1.5" beer and 5" of head, hazy gold with off white head, nose was slightly tart apricot and honey, flavor was just slightlt tart, not what I expected with 70% gueuze, it was fruity with spice and apricots. thornecb (1816), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 27, 2006 Pours amber into a tumbler. Frothy, medium-sized off-white head. Mead and mold aromas. Tastes like a Chardonney-- and I don’t really like white wine. Most white wine-like of any beer. erway (1002), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2006 Pours with an orangish body and a typical lambic head. Aroma is sweetish honey with an underlying acetobacter nastiness. Body is med-light, very heavy for a beverage with such a high gueuze content. The flavor is honeyish, which really cuts through the acidity, and has hints of apple vinegar. The finish is fairly dry. rudolf (1787), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 29, 2006 Nose is honeycomb - not industrial honey but I don’t know varieties. Lemon, orange, gueuze funk is hidden behind the florious honey. Flavor is honey and sour sour goodness. Lemon, bitter rind, somehow sweet and bitter at the same time. Honey finish is wonderful with slightly oakey notes. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2006 I love a good mead and gueuze is one of my favorite styles - so is this the perfect one for me? Pours hazy orange golden and a frothy white head. Distinctive lambic aroma, sour grapefruity and woody, but also with a sweet candied middle. Really nice. Flavor is tart dominating grapefruity with a vinous note hiding behind the tartness. Notes of lemon and a tone of alcohol that gives a warming sensation. An interesting mix and quite tasty too, but not my perfect beer - seems a bit unbalanced.
Thanks to brother Numsi for bringing this back from Amsterdam! bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark

Aroma of sourness and wood, nearly like sour white wine. Fresh flavour ome sour and with touch of apple. Mungo (2473), Southampton, Hampshire, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 2, 2006 Bottled @ Reading Beer Festival 2006. Sharp socky aromas and floral alcohol. Tart and fizzy - some sweetness in the finish and grapefruity pith. Some nice flavours but I think the higher alcohol and slight sweet (for a gueuze) finish prevented me from enjoying this more.
