Really tasty. Normal Gueuze flavours for a start - lemony and flavoursome, with a little sugary sweetness to end. Great. harrisoni (6798), Ashford, Kent, England

I told the barmaid to be careful, but she didn’t listen and therefore she gave a heart attack to everyone else stood at the bar when the cork hit the tent roof. Gold cloudy beer with bubbly off white head. Sour aroma typical of gueuze. Bit of farmyard. Slight sweet edge. This is wonderful though. pfr (121), København, Denmark

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 11, 2006 Beware, the top exploded and shot off with with a huge pop, but only a little foam escaped. Pours a mostly clear golden color with large soda style white head that dissapears quickly. The aroma is a plesant combo of mead and gueuze. It has a musty barnyard aroma and a secondary honey sweetness. It is very light and airy but it also seems to get a bit foam as it touches the palate. Barnyard is there in the flavor. It’s tight, tangy and pungent. An acidic beer and also quite active. hopdog (5576), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 17, 2006 12.7oz bottle. Cork opened with a loud pop and poured allllll head. Eventually settled to a medium to deep and cloudy golden color. Aromas of initially apple cider (that faded), yeast and light green apples. Tastes of honey and green apples. Different. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 31, 2006 Doesn’t really taste like mead OR gueuze. Strange. A lemony-tart bleu cheese wrapped around with pepper and musty saddle leather and kissed with a drop of honeysuckle. Sour lactic finish. Some sort of wierd flower aroma. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 22, 2006 9% ABV Explosive corked bottle, resulting in a big frothy head. The color is yellow, almost golden, the brew is clear. The aroma is extremely pungent, I don’t understand which gas can make me jump back from the glass; with a bit more of precautions, I smell the typical Gueuze cellar aromas; I’m not sure of the honey, but I’m sure that there is also the smell of the Asian shops in Europe, a mix of stale and sour fruits, and something perfumy. The mouthfeel is quite dry, less interesting than the aroma, with a reasonable astringency and some sourness, but without any complexity. The palate is too short and empty. It’s not bad, and it’s curious, but I feel it more like a sort of French corked cider than a Gueuze or a Mead or a mix of them. redlight (1471), Winter Park, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 15, 2006 Sharp sour acidic aroma, with a hint of honey/mead. Pours a nice golden color with no head. I taste acidic grapefruit up front, then i taste the honey, and then it goes back to a sour/dry finish. excellent!
