Tastes very tart, a little sweet at the end. Geuze style beers just aren’t my thing. shadey (1501), Rochester, New York, USA

The aroma is gueuze with plenty of tart and fruity scents. The flavor is more subdued. The mead kicks in to smooth things out. A bit of gueuze tart and a bit of mead sweetness. A nice mix, but nothing spectacular. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 18, 2004 The beer decamps the 375ml green corked and wired bottle a luminous gold with a massive bubbly white head with the resultant lace a thin covering upon the glass. Nose is devastatingly tart, sour apples and a little musk at the end, start is lightly sweet with a pleasing grain profile, the top is thin. Finish id ferine in its acidity, vinous with a desert dry aftertaste, a yummy brew tis true, the mead gives it a bit of uniqueness, very nice. motelpogo (4395), Plzen, Czech Republic

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 4, 2004 Lots of carbonation, be sure to pour lightly. Pours big white bubbly head but dissipates fast. Its got that sharp, sour, lambic smell to it- only this aroma is more potent than most lambics I have tasted. Surprisingly smooth considering the blend of this beer. Carbonation is quite heavy and bites the tongue. This beer finishes quite dry. igel (196), New Mexico, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 3, 2004 The cork popped on its own accord! Scared the crap out of me. Pours a fresh full foamy head that died quite quickly. The color is electric amber with a little chill haze - effervescent like champagne. Smells musky (yep, horse blanket), and corky. Taste has a tart beginning and a dry finish. It was difficult to distinguish much sweetness. Lively mouthfeel - very champagnesque - effervescent and tart with a dry finish. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 20, 2004 After un-twisting the wire that holds the cork, it shot out and put a dent in my ceiling. The aroma was quick to reveal itself as the contents of the bottle attempted to escape to my counter. I was able to capture the contents into a glass. The appearance was a somewhat hazed golden color. The barnyard and earth were rather forward in the nose. The flavor, sour, with some notes - or rather wafts, of Mead. The palate is astringent. Overall, I wonder why I continue to taste these things. I don’t seem to enjoy them. It does seem to improve as it warms. Drink it at cellar temperature. Actually, this is good at room temperature. I am adjusting marks...
