Highly carbonated to say the least. Some champagnes have less carbonation. Lasting white head on a deep gold body. Barnyardy, fruitty, sugary and a light honey aroma. Also a light cherry cough syrup, sour lactic, yeasty aroma. Lightly sour but well balanced, barnyard/brett flavor w/ some honey undertones; malty and vinous/grapey flavor in the finish & aftertaste. Lacks a little complexity & is sort of sugary sweet after initial sourness. Very light bodied probably from high carbonation, explosive m/f, very dry m/f. Not something I’d drink a lot of, but not as sour as most lambics. Ungstrup (15420), Frederiksberg, Denmark

The flavor is tasting of exactly what it is: a mixture of a Gueueze and Mead. It is sweet with notes of flowers and honey as well as sour with notes of grapefruit. A wonderful beer - more of this please. Mads Langtved (2246), Copenhagen K, Denmark

Grapefruity gueuze flavour. The honey notes in the flavour are interesting. Very nice mix. jonwell (104), Huntington Beach, California, USA

Seriously, belgian guys, wtf are you thinking with this crap?? Taste is sour, citrucy (lemon)... shit, this tastes like squirt and not much else. Very tart, dry finish... not much else, really. Very disappointed :( arjoseph (594), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2004 Bottle into tulip glass. Smelled of skunk and grapefruit. Poured a very hazy orange yellow with no head (which was surprising). Taste was pretty good, definite honey sweetness, grapefruit, just a bit of acidity. Not too complex. Mouthfeel was flat, medium, and smooth. The whole was better than the parts, since I can’t point out what element makes this a good beer. Oh well. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 10, 2004 Updated: Jan 24, 20087/10/04: Pours white out of the bottle, but turns yellowish in the glass with a white head. Aroma like a dead skunk’s ass that’s been laying in the sun for 5 days. Taste is sour, very sour. There’s a little honey, but it’s hard to really tell that there’s mead in here at all. Some citrus flavor as well. 1/3/6/2/6 Re-Rate 1/24/08: Well obviously that first bottle was poisoned. Thanks to Stlwill for bringing this in. Cloudy copper color. Strong honey aroma and just a little gueuze sourness. This time, the clover honey really stands out in the taste. A bit of sour is still there, but places a supporting role. Some wheat lurking around as well. Much better. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
