37.5 cL bottle. pours hazy orange with a fizzy white head. Dry and cheesy wooden aroma with a distinct yeasty note. Dry and wooden meady flavour with a distinct sulphorish note. Dry and citric dry finish. Nice and smooth.

Bottle. [Tasting @ Papsoe 20-10-2008] Huge bubbly white head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Cloudy golden orange color. Aroma of leather, soap, rubber, hors blanket, wheat. Over the palate came mild honey and light fruit. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated acidic flavor with good counter sweetness. Lingering dry acidic finish.

Really damned interesting beer. A buddy found this at a bottle shop somewhere in Colorado and lugged it back to Belgium. 37.5cL bottle pours hazy orange with disappearing white head. Unmistakable nose of thick, raw, comb honey, with some funky lambic and faint lemon thrown in. Flavor has an impression of light, residual honey sweetness plus some lemony funk and light bitterness. Tart and dry with somewhat full body for a lambic. I’d like to see them make more of this.

Bottle, thanks to dchmela and shared with gueuze_is_god. Wow, surprised at some of the low ratings on this one. I thought it was pretty amazing... nearly flat golden pour with some amber notes. Hazy. Sweet honey on the nose, along with rosehips, honeydew, wisteria, acetic acid, and stronger gueuze notes than expected. Honey came through in a floral more than sugary way on the nose, and although the taste was a little sweeter, it was still very much more of a gueuze than a mead. Tingly. Lovely.

from crackedkettle.com - cloudy bright and dark orange colour; very foamy white head; aroma of hay, vinegar and old apples; strong notes of cork; fizzy and with a moderate malt body, fairly sour/acidic; very dry and effervescent fruity sourish aftertaste with late notes of alcohol - light-bodied for its 9%; fresh and original

Bottle courtesy of Beerlando: Poured a golden color beer/mead with a small bubbly head with no retention or lacing. Aroma consists of sweet notes courtesy of the mead with some sour notes from the lambic with some weird funky notes. Taste is also a weird and unique mix between some sweet mead notes mix in with some sour notes form the lambic with some funky barnyard notes. Full oily texture body with some limited carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting as a one-off but not something I would drink regularly.Bottle courtesy of Beerlando: Poured a golden color beer/mead with a small bubbly head with no retention or lacing. Pours copper with a white head. The aroma has a mix of dryness from the gueuze, apple, abv and light sweetness from the mead. It is overall dry and crisp with some stale-ish apple traits. Dry crisp mouthfeel with sharp carbonation that is perfect for what this mead / gueuze is. The flavor initially is dry, tart and acidic, then some smoothness from the mead comes in to balance things off, but it never overpowers the tartness. The finish adds some nice spice and then there is a lingering tart dryness. While there was some abv on the aroma I couldn’t find any on the taste. Quite nice.

Retired? Had a bottle at Uber Tavern. Cork shot across the bar. Sour earthy gueuze nose, with a hint of honey. Amber. Light head. Sharp sour. Light dry body. Honey sweetness cuts across the middle. Sourness sneaks back from between the teeth. Citrus freshness entices the palate.
