Hazy golden with tiny head. Aroma is sour with typical brett and light strawberry notes. Flavor is rather sweet with strawberries, grapefruit, wood and barnyard notes. A lot more sweet flavor than my previous experience with this lambic.

Bottle. [Courtesy of BelJohansen, another great session @ yespr] Small bubbly white head mostly diminished. Lovely orange colour with a light golden glow. Spare display of lacework. Aroma of sour strawberries, light woody notes, hint of barnyard and very fruity for a Lambic. Over the palate come citrus, and again light sour strawberries. Medium bodied with a soft carbonisation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet and sour flavour. Light sour strawberries lingering finish.

Green glass, caged and corked. Big sour nose, tart with just a hint of sweetness. Cloudy golden pour with no head. Taste is too sweet for my conception of a lambic, with almost not sourness or tartness until the aftertaste. Cantillon fans will probably laugh at this gentle effort. Thin, watery body with a nice yeasty component. Notes of indistinct fruitiness and whole flowers. No trace of metal (which I find redeeming). At least I can drink a whole bottle of this with no objections from my body. Probably would have been a hit at certain prohibition-era poolhalls. Well-made if a little effete.

Bottle served with a sourness warning, Cambrinus, Brugge. Customers often complain the beer is spoiled, apparently. There’s a sniff of strawberry Chewit/Angel Delight fruit juice sweetness right on the end, but you’d have to be looking for it. Nose mostly a serious lambic statement of intent. Brilliant, unnatural orange haze with no head and the faintest tingle of carbonation. Nothing like the colour of strawberries, thankfully. Bites with generous lambic tartness, but the flavour softens unexpectedly at the very last into aromatic fleshy fruit. Light years from the sweetshop, and unique.

The beer poured a lovely hazy golden color with no head or lacing. The aroma was slightly yeasty and malty. I did not a definite strawberry notes in the beer. The flavor was slightly tart and very smooth with hints of strawberries and a musk note. The mouthfeel was light bodied and slightly wet. Very yummy though.

375ml bottle. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head and little carbonation. Aroma of yeast, strawberries, musty citrus and the barnyard. Fruity flavour with some initial sweetness before an enjoyably tart finish. Very good.

375ml bottle. One of my favorites, so I wanted to enjoy it again for my first rating. Pours a very clear light orange with no head and virtually no carbonation. Aroma is very sour and full of strawberries. Taste is definitely less sour than the aroma, but still sour enough for my liking. It also has a strong strawberry flavor with a very sour finish.

Green bottle, 375 ml, best before 07/08/2018, via Importations Privées Bièropholie, savoured on December 15 2007, on opening, it sounds like the beer is tired; eye: orangey caramel, clear, no effervescence, no head, no lacing, small perly bubbles are glued to the side of the glass and are staying there; nose: quite fruity, strawberry, acidity, gueuze, horse, cheese; mouth: flat, acidity, sour, light strawberry, finale is acidic and sour with a hint of strawberry, quite acidic and sour, lightly sweet, medium body, thin; overall: so? FRANÇAIS Bouteille verte, 375 ml, meilleure avant 07/08/2018, via Importations Privées Bièropholie, savourée le 15 décembre 2007, à l’ouverture, on devine une bière fatiguée; œil : caramel orangé, claire, pas d’effervescence, pas de mousse, pas de dentelle, de très petites bulles sont collées à la paroi et y demeurent; nez : très fruitée, fraise, acidité, gueuze, cheval, fromage; bouche : plate, acidulé, sure, léger fraise, finale en acidité et sure avec une petite présence de fraises, très acide et sure, légèrement sucrée, corps moyen, mince; en résumé : bof
