Aug 16, 2007 Sampled during the First Annual Stone Sour Fest. Strawberry aromas. Tart and acidic. Very tart flavor. Sitll some acidity. Low carbonation. Still Strawberry all the way through the finish. Very good.

Aug 5, 2007 Pours deep gold into a Tumbler. No head. Strawberry and mild funk aromas. Slight tingly sweet strawberries upfront which quickly turns to cheesy lambic and then back to a tart strawberry.

Aug 3, 2007 Pours a cloudy orange color with a small ring of lace. The aroma is sour and funky, there’s a fruityness to it but I wouldn’t have guessed there were strawberries in there. The flavor is very sour with belgian funk and fruits. The body is light with a dusty texture and low carbonation. Interesting but not on par with the quality of the Oude Gueuze and Oude Kriek.

Jul 30, 2007 pours golden orange. no head with little to no carbonation. wonderful funky sour aroma. taste was smooth with mellow acidity and with a mild sourness. well balanced and clean. very enjoyable.

Jul 30, 2007 Clear golden with no real head. Aroma of strawberry jam and a touch of funk... perhaps a little too simple and fake for me. Medium body, mild acid tartness and a strong strawberry flavour... again its just too jammy and fake. Light barnyard finish redeems it a little bit. Pretty solid overall.

Jul 25, 2007 375 ml bottle, via dsnowden. Pours a cloudy peach-orange colored body with just a few large fleeting bubbles of head. Very slow lazy visible carbonation. Aroma is very gueuze like with a fruity sweetness like peaches or apricots more than strawberries. A good amount of musty and moldy cellar funk below. The drying acetic vinegar flavor grabs me right away. There’s some fruitiness there, but I really couldn’t tell what it was, having not looked at the commercial description, my guess was apricots actually. Very dry and dusty moldy finish. Mouthfeel is fairly dry with a moderate acetic bite up front. Watery in texture with just very minimal carbonation. This is really much better than you might expect from a strawberry lambic. Hanssens makes the real deal.

Jul 25, 2007 Sampled at Stone’s Sour Festival, July 2007. Comes out of the bottle golden with no head. aardbei aroma is strong, but the flavor is dominated by a healty nose of sour lambic. Thankfully the sweet berry adds a nice foil
