Bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with no head and very little signs of carbonation. Aroma of fresh strawberries and a touch of acidity and funk. Taste is super tart and full of lemon and grapefruit with a hint of strawberries at the end. Thin mouthfeel with a fair amount of acidity. A very underrated Lambic.

Beautiful hazy orange golden body with a clear red shine, big bubbled white head; Big nose with lots of strawberry to it, not really fresh ones and some rotten aromas in between, slightly sweet barrel and apple aromas behind; Thin oily texture, no carbonation, quite lactic and grapefruit fruity acidy; Long finish with lots of strawberry aromas, here the strawberries are fresh unripe and ripe. Great beer, not as sour as everybody says!

It has an attractive bottle. Tasted like a mixture of puke, wine and incence. Probably the worst thing I’ve ever consumed. People like this? It has been two hours and two Optimators since I took a drink of this and I CANNOT get the taste outa my mouth. Literaly ruined my day.

Partly cloudy golden body with no head to speak of. Funk and fruits attack the nose. I’ve got a hard time to believe that all batches are the same. The two bottles I had from the same batch were rough, rough, rough. Intense sourness, intense dryness, intense tartness, borderline vinegar. To the point where you almost cannot taste de fruits. In the back are flavours of strawberries and orange skins. I’m truly a fan of the Hanssens Gueuze and Kriek because they are about the sharpest lambics out there. But this Oudbeitje was really harsh, impossible to drink fast, like drinking sandpaper or something. As rough as a badger ass.

Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow orange with no head. Little specks floating around the glass. Smells like strawberries and a little lambic funk. The strawberries really come through in the taste too. Perfect mix of sweetness and tartness. Underrated.

This beer pours out a hazy golden color with a hint of red in it and lots of carbonation, more than I’ve seen with lambic. Aroma is nice and tart to begin with then melts into a soft sweetness of the strawberries and really makes for a nice aroma. Taste is your typical sourness and kinda funky as to be expected but it isn’t out of control. The fruit is somewhat present in the flavor but mostly just to smooth things out because the flavor is still very sour. I liked this lambic more than others I’ve had.

Pours a hazy golden color with no head. Strawberries are very present in the aroma with some funky tartness underneath. Nice balanced smell. Taste is fruity with the strawberries with the normal lambic taste underneath. Sour, horsey, funky but pretty mild. This would be a really good lambic to start somebody off who has never had one before. The balance between the tartness and fruit is well done without either being overpowering.

bottle from Quinns. Bright orange amber with no head - despite our barman’s best efforts. He got so flustered that no head formed, he poured a whole other bottle to make sure nothing was wrong. Anyway. Perfumey strawberry nose - very light, smells like dessert. A good swirl brings out the sourness. Uber tart taste of vinegar, strawberry and lemon. Really good, but that little bit too sour.
