(Bottle at home) Pours with hardlly no carbonation and no head. Looks like orange applejuice. Smells lemon and strawberries. Fresh wood, sour. It tastes of strawberries and grapefruit. A bit salty. Sour with no carbonation. Some sweetness in the beginning that turns to sour as soon as you swollow. Long sour aftertaste. Herbs (oregano). Green apples.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange colour with a small white head. Barnyard aroma with hints of strawberries. Sweet malty strawberry flavor with some sourness. Sweet strawberry aftertaste.

Pours a slightly hazy straw color with almost no head. Aroma is slightly barnyard like with a just a hint of sweetness. The flavor is absolutely amazing. Horseblanket funkiness complimented perfectly by a previously unexperienced tangy strawberry flavor. The sourness of the beer does just as good of a job adding texture to this beer as high carbonation would so the lack of heavy carbonation is brilliant. Freakin’ awesome!

A true lambic, funky and tart all around. The pour was rose / pink colored, very clear, lots of initial fizzle, but no sustaining head or lacing of any sort. The aroma was of mold, cheese, light citrus, and berries (no, I could’t explicitly pick out strawberries were it not for the label). Flavor followed the aroma, some funk and acidic notes mixed in there. Mouthfeel was clearly acidic, and this was a tart and bona-fied lambic.

Bottle. Golden body with a few sad wispy bubbles. About 90% flat. Nose-BIG sickly sweet geuze nose with alot of funk, hose, and what smells like strawberry. Taste-acidic, muted hose and barn, artificial sweetener, not nearly as much berry flavor in the taste as was in the nose, slight cardboard. Taste like the Hanssens Oude Gueuze but thinned down and with artificial sweetener added. Not bad, but there are much better out there to be had.

Cloudy golden-orange color with a small white head. Acidic aroma, with citrus, hay and hints of berries. Mild acidity up front that blends into a well rounded strawberry flavor, light notes of peaches are also present. Tart, mouth puckering finish. Very nice.

Bottle: Pours a misty golden amber color with very little carbonation and light head and quickly diminishing at that. The nose is full of tart and sour belgian funkyness, lots of horsey barny notes with brett and crisp malts. Lots of tartness and acidity. The flavor is very robust and flavorful with a huge slap of acidity and a barely noticable underripe strawberry flavor. The finish is brief and quenching. Nice lambic, way different than I was expecting.

’02 bottle. Cloudy gold, no head. Nose is acidic w. lemon, oak, funk. Not strawberries so much as a hay filled strawberry field. Very acidic up front giving way to strawberry, oak, lemon, grapes. Bitter lemon/strawberry finish. Nice!
