Golden lambic with a pleasant strawberry aroma, wiht light lactic points. Pleasantly sour with notes of berries, and light points of vinager. Lighter bodied but very refreshing! Enjoyable. Bought at Hanssens, April 2005.

37.5 cl bottle, bbe Aug 2018. Nicely amber coloured, a thick multitude of tiny bubbles which slowly travel towards the surface, just a ’wee bit’ of sediment, no head. Alcoholic cherry candies and rotten fruit in the aroma. The flavour is sour, sherry-like, a bit metallic and just slightly fruity. Greasy palate.

re-rate: This time a younger bottle. And even so much better. This is really wow! Nice strawberries in the aroma and flavor. Flavor starts sweet and strawberry and then suddenly BANG! Very aggressive, sourness going down your throat and up you nose giving goosebumbs all over. I love this one. Bottled, 3.9: Looks like cider instead of a Lambic but this is how this style should look like so I still give it a 4. Aroma of lemon, oak, other fruits with a hint of vinegar, quite complex. Very sweet start but this is hidden by the sourness. The sweetness gets less while the sourness gains strength. Very soft but harsh vinegar in the finish. According to the brewer this doesn’t happen if you drink it fresh within 3 months of bottling. That would make it perfect! Should try that once.

Golden coloured. No head. Nose of sweet strawberry, with notes of horseblanket and some sourness. Very soft flavor with lots of acidic strawberrys and fruit. It has a sparkling, dry finish.

a mes rate: pours without any head and the carbonation makes its way to the top very slowly making it appear much thicker than it is. sour and slightly funky in the nose. smells just like the gueuze with hardly any evidence of the berries. looks like the gueuze too with a very slight pinkish hue. tart and sour with just a little hint of the strawberries. the dryness hits the roof of your mouth and then is swept away by the vinegar and faintly sweet berries. finish is funky, dry tart and lengthy and once everything else is gone the strawberries linger. i was hoping for a little more strawberry, what you get is much more gueuze. no real complaints tho. impressive stuff all round

Bottle from Steelgaarden, Bethlehem, PA. Poured pinkish with little head. Aroma of gueuze, some berries, some hops. Tasted very tart with very little strawberry flavor or aroma. Had a Cantillony finish, with big tartness and much less lambicness. I was marginally disappointed with this one.

(Bottle) Pours a clear glowing orange body with no head. Acidic stawberry aroma. Flavor of strawberries and rubbing alcohol. Dry, acidic palate.

I was very curious about this one because of it being made with strawberries, but I was woefully disappointed. I barely detected any aroma or taste of the strawberries and did not find it very sweet or very sour. Overall, rather disappointing.
