Geourgous hazy orange/honey color. No carbonation I could find. Sour, vineager, citrius peel and pith on the nose, followed by sour flavors of underripe orange peel, pitch, vineager, and a bit more vineager ont he finish. No strawberry notes that I could find. The mouth feel was pleasant. I was really hoping for some a little strawberry, but couldn’t find any. Oh well.
This certainly isn’t for the faint of heart or casuale Lindemans Framboise drinker. If you don’t like tart/bitter stay away. I liked it!

I was eager to try when I found out it was a strawberry lambic. Pours a murky yellow-orange. Definite strawberry smell along with some funk. Taste is very sour and funky. It has a good strawberry flavor as well which goes well with the sourness. Finish is very tart. plovmand (1723), Helsinge, Denmark
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 18, 2009 Bottle kindly shared by Anker! My first Hanssens and what a sample that was. A beautiful pour of hazy orange with a small white head. The fruit hits your nose instantly when poured. Its light raspberry but mainly strawberry well mixed with citric acid. Lots of sour strawberry in the flavour with some citrus and acid. not very cellar like but its extremely well balanced and you just want more of this when you get startet. Hazy orange colour with no head.
Aroma is sweet strawberries, humid cellar and weak grape notes.
The flavour is great, like water from a wine leaf, nicely balanced and with dry notes of strawberries, grape, humid cellar and a long pleasant dry-bitter finish!

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 13, 2009 2006 vintage 375 Ml bottle into snifter. Surprised to find this one at whole foods. Hazy tangerine color with NO head. Minimal pop of the cork. Pours like it is very flat (sure this isn’t unblended?). The aroma is very traditional lambic. Tangy as hell (acidic) with a strong funky aromatic gueuze base with a good fruit quality to it (I probably wouldn;t have guessed it was strawberry if the bottle didnt say so). The aroma is different than other fruit lambics because the fruit quality is less powerful, but still undoubtedly there. Oaky, woodsy, very natural aroma. Unlike the aroma, I CAN quite obviously denote the fruit quality on the flavor as ebing strawberry. Starts of with a neutral tartness that is abruptly followed by a very wholesome and beautiful strawberry flavor. The fact that this strawberry quality is achieved naturally is unbelievable. The tartness is more upfront than on the finish. Finishes medium dry. Perhaps THE MOST DRINKABLE LAMBIC out there. FInish is clean and crip, not lots of funky/barnyard lingering (though its faint presence is made). Medium bodied with the most minimal amont of carbonation a beer could have that one could notice -- which is beautiful by me. Its smooth and slick body (with minimal carbonation) adds to the outstanding drinkability of this lambic. Overall: so glad I got my hands on this. Way underrated. A truly unique and outstanding fruit lambic. A MUST TRY for lambic lovers. scrizzz (1306), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 12, 2009 2000. Hell yes. Smells like a clean horse that got out of the stable and went running around and returned all sweaty. Clean horse blanket, know what I mean? And there’s some fresh ripe strawberry there. Probably wouldn’t have picked it out (sorry for the pun) without the commercial description. Clear still gold. Pretty flat, mostly dry, little tartness comes out, and some disjointed fruit. Lots of what I was looking for have fallen off. Still tasty, and there aren’t any flaws, but I was hoping with all this age it would be magical. What I got was a solidly good lambic. angrypirate06 (781), Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 11, 2009 Bottle marked "limited edition year 2006". Pours a nice hazy burnt orange color. Aroma of barnyard funk, then rolling into a sweet strawberry aroma. Great scent! Could smell this for a long time. Flavor is bitter up front, then that nice funky taste I enjoy, then a hint of strawberries (definitely not overpowering) and finishing with a bleu cheese finish. Almost no carbonation, mouth is a bit lacking. Bloekie (165), Belgium
