[Bottle] from milkmandan. Pours a clear, still gold. Aroma is FULL of shit, some pool water, and a touch of strawberry. Flavor is super dry and tart, mouth watering, no fruit, and a smooth finish of cow shit. This was a really old bottle, and definitely an interesting experience.

Pours a slightly hazy orange with no head. Really nice pungent lambic aroma with a distinct strawberry note. Flavor is quite flat, missing the acidity, fairly sour with a nice fruity strawberry note, however, there is almost no acidity. My lambic appears to be sleeping. Flat body, sugary water feel. An elegant taste without any bubbles. I can dig it.

Bottle from Sun Devil, vintage year 2000. Nose is underwhelming and simply is ’sour’: lemon, underripe fruit, yeast, sour grain. Flavor is much the same but with an underripe strawberry finish similar to most every lambic and gueuze I have yet encountered. Had the same problem with Upland Strawberry so methinks I am done with this particular lambic flavor. Close to flat with only minimal bubbles.

Bottle shared with my girlfriend. My 9th lambic rating! Watch out Sour King I’m coming to get you. Nose of poopy barnyard funk, softer strawberry, woody notes, and did I mention funk? Pours a murky reddish orange with no head. Looks somewhat stagnant. Initial tart woody notes followed by nice fresh strawberry - subtle though - followed by a rich mouthful of barnyard and funk. Soft tartness, lots of funk. Carbonation was light.

Nice wooden sour nose, hint of strawberry there too. The taste is sour and the strawberry taste is subtle, I can appreciate that since the sourness is the main deal here. This would be a great summer beer, now it served well in the session livening things up.

’06 Bottle thanks to Beerlando and SoLan!
Hazy tangerine color, white bubbles for a quickly receding head. The strawberry is very well integrated, coupling with tart citrus, wood, and dust to create a refreshing nose. Flavor is a little more biting, strong acidic citrus that at times overwhelms the strawberry, leaving a sightly caustic grapefruit note With warmth I get some of the lactic/cheese that others note. Mouth is a little inky, which adds to the more overwhelmingly bitter notes. The strawberry in the nose is fantastic, but some added nuance in the flavor would help.
