’06 Bottle thanks to Beerlando and SoLan!
Hazy tangerine color, white bubbles for a quickly receding head. The strawberry is very well integrated, coupling with tart citrus, wood, and dust to create a refreshing nose. Flavor is a little more biting, strong acidic citrus that at times overwhelms the strawberry, leaving a sightly caustic grapefruit note With warmth I get some of the lactic/cheese that others note. Mouth is a little inky, which adds to the more overwhelmingly bitter notes. The strawberry in the nose is fantastic, but some added nuance in the flavor would help.

Lots of apple tart complimented by a strange taste of sweetness. Maybe mostly strawberry. Puckery beer.

37,5cl, bbe 2018. Murky orange, no head. Brilliant tangerine, cellar and barnyard mixture on the nose, some old lactic strawberry later on. Tart, mildly manurey barnyard flavor, very little fruitiness, not very refined, but definitely authentic. Dry tannic finish with faint yoghurty strawberry. Medium to full bodied, pleasant low carbonation. It’s got a strong unblended feel to it.

5 year old bottle from BrianK, thanks. Nice pour, very unfiltered little head. Super tart aroma, very cheesy and sour, with quite a bit of expression. All sorts of parmessean and such. Tart and puckering flavor, quite a bit of cheesiness, and only a touch of strawberry. Definitely a pure lambic, no holds barred here. Very enjoyable, clear in its sourness.

2006 375ml bottle $4.99. This is a very still beer, no carbonation and zero head, tangerine orange-color. It smells slightly funky, sweaty, manure and mud actually, with a bit of fruit hiding out. It tastes like sour strawberries. The smell really has a stink about it and if you like funk then you will not be disappointed. The sourness is light and doesn’t make my mouth pucker (much). update 08/12/09 label claims "year 2000" but the label, bottle, cork and contents look young. It smells quite funky, fantastic. The taste is tart lambic with a noticeable strawberry component. Nice lambic even if it is a little acidic. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-28-2008 02:46:40

375ml from Drankencentrale, Rutsaert. Slightly hazy, golden color with little to no head. Aroma is sweet strawberry with a light tartness to it, pretty cloying though. Nice tartness with a little earthiness, dirty, big strawberry, some cherry, very nice. Medium to light body with no carb and subtle tart. Very drinkable and excelent strawberry flavor without being too sweet (like a typical fruit beer), except in the aroma ofcourse. Actually very nice.

Bottle 2000: Pours a golden with a blush hue and a light haze to it. Great funky aroma- Sharp acidic & acetic notes, corky, cobwebby, musty, with just the faintest touch of strawberry. Not much effervescence on the palate. A bit slick- tart flavor, vinous, light oak, mild brief sweetness in the middle, wouldn’t know it was strawberry in a blind tasting. There’s also a sharp wild fermentation character of citric acidity with a clean finish. Refreshing and complex, just lost some effervescence over the last nine years.

Orange pour with reddish pink hues. Completely flat pour which in my opinion is a shame. Adequate carbonation could have provided a little more balance, depth, and complexity. Horse blanket and strawberry on the nose. Flavor is slightly wild, moderate tartness, and notable hints of white strawberries.
