durhambeer (378), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jul 1, 2008 2006 bottle. As soon as I opened the cork I knew there would be no carbonation in this one, which was disappointing in that it affected both the palate and the appearance. Electric hazy orange pour, very still. Rose petals and strawberries with a lemony zing on the nose; extremely floral with a little brett behind it. Very tart and acetic on the tongue, burning even a little. More tart strawberry, lemon, rosewater, brett funk on the tongue. Bit of a bitter/funky finish that doesn’t end as crisply as I would wish. This really has all the makings of a great beer. If properly carbonated, I think it could have been amazing. Really enjoyed the glimpses as it was...
Avengedpoet (21), Arizona, USA Aug 17, 2008 Pours a hazy straw color. No head to speak of. Smells strictly of sour funk. Taste extremely funky taste. Pretty much tastes like an old Lambic. No tart fresh Lambic taste to speak of. A decent Lambic. Very smooth. rustychiles (417), Mesa, Arizona, USA Aug 17, 2008 Bottle courtesy of avengedpoet. Aroma of sour, lemon, asprin and funk. Flavor is lemony tart, funk, asprin. Nice sour lambic. BeerBiker (1159), Odense, Denmark Aug 9, 2008 [Sampling at Scheffel.] Soft and sweet sourness of strawberries. Darkred and no head. Nice lambic presence. Refreshing. More soft than expected. lassem (106), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 31, 2008 Pours a deep orange with no head what so ever - looks like freshly squeezed apple-cider. The nose is clearly strawberries in a perfumish way. The taste is not that sour and quite singular with the strawberries as the overall- dominating element. The palate is more waterish than oily. The finish is quickly gone... not impressed BoBoChamp (618), Gent, Belgium Jul 28, 2008 38cl, sour brew with strawberries, from De Hopduvel Gent, not complex, not balanced, cloudy, nearly no head, nothing special, needs to be revised
