Hazy golden with a collapsing white head. Barnyard, citrus and some wood in the aroma. Sour fruity flavor with some sweetish hints of sugary residue. Medium-bodied. Some more cellar time wouldn’t hurt but already very pleasant and refreshing when rather young. gueuzeisgod (109), Graham, North Carolina, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Mar 22, 2008 This one ties with Oud Beersel as my favorite thus far- without having tried Drei Fonteinen or Girardin yet- they are impossible to find around here, I will have to travel to get any. Oh- the funky, leathery, barnyardy smell- heavenly. The acidity is perfect, flavor is indescribably good- I could drown in a vat of this beer, I will be sure to have some on hand at all times- This will be what I ask for on my death bed- KimJohansen (7205), Copenhagen V, Denmark

Butterscotch colored with a fizzy effervescent head. Light, earthy, sour aroma. Same thing goes for the taste. I like a little sourness, but not this much. It seems like a good beer, but it’s not my thing. lassem (320), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 14, 2008 375 ml bottle. Aroma is about equal funk and light stone fruit. Copper gold color with white smear for head. Medium body with fizzy/creamy carbonation. Flavor is sour fruit, yeast and wood. Finish is astringently dry. Tart isn’t in it! One of the more pleasant Geuzes I’ve enjoyed. BlackForestCO (831), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 14, 2008 Updated: Feb 13, 2009Bottle. Poured a clear golden-orange color with a thin white head that diminished to a ring. Funky aroma of sour fruits, yeast, and that classic barnyard. Nice semi-sweet entry runs into a sour, dry fruitiness with yeastiness throughout the background and on the finish. Really nice sourness that bites the tongue and dries the palate. Nice and funky, just the way I like it.
