Pours a hazy orange/golden color. Aroma hits you with strong sweet-less-fruit tinged vinegar. Acidity and rubber follow that. Taste starts off with strong herbal/dry acidity and the dryness just sticks around throughout. Then there is a super hit of dryness at the end and vinegar highlights in the aftertaste. Has a light body with some spike and oh so drinkable for hours.
Also, recently had an aged bottle provided by jasonmech at YEHA@the Moose’07, white label (not sure of age), and it was still all that and a bag of chips. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England

Smells is sour but the taste isn’t. Very refreshing, it’s daft o’clock in the morning in rainy Manchester but I can imagine this being perfect for an early evening in the sun with a meal. With a really dirty woman. Lovely experience on the tongue, a pleasure to drink. Not dry on the aftertaste. I’m impressed, lovely. jason (1623), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 25, 2007 375ml bottle from Hopduvel, Gent. Hazy golden colour with a decent off-white head. Big barnyard aromas, with plenty of mustiness, yeast, green wood, lemon peel and sour apples. The flavour had lots of unripe fruit, yeast and citrus with a sour/acidic finish. Excellent and very refreshing. TopherDrinks (96), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

Two finger off-white head that dissipates within a minute leaving a light film over the gold surface. Aroma is immediately woody and musty. Very sour nose with a hint of citrus. Taste is so very sour but not too acidic. Lemon, yeast, barnyard funk, and wood (I wish I could be more specific). Carbonation stimulates my taste buds with every sip but I wish they weren’t hindered by this extremely sour blast. Finishes dry and citric. Over the top sourness from the first to last sip, I love it! tomciccateri (514), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA

Very intense "horse blanket" aroma. A smooth flavor blend of tart and sour. Complex and well done. hopdog (5609), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 11, 2007 Pours out a deep golden color with a fairly thick and bubbly white head that fades soon after the pour. Aroma is right of the bat very pungent. Salty, acidic, sour, woody, and musty smells all blend to make this one. Taste, wow this is good. One of the most sour and "in your face" lambics I’ve ever had. I love it! Sour grapes and citrus hit the palate instantly, horseblanket, and bitterness follow. This gueuze is exceptionally tart and leaves you with almost a sting on your tounge. Absolutley fantastic!
