App.: deep straw, clear, full white head.
Aroma: Pungent! Horse blanket funk, spicy and green, sour mustard greens and rhubarb or cherry maybe, phenolic - acetone, magic marker kinda and a light cheesiness.
Palate: medium-full body, light effervescent carbonation.
Flav.: bracing tartness, acetone and horse blanket, spicey, woody, bitter finish.
This is complicated stuff. I need some training to be able to describe and appreciate this type of product. I don’t even know how to rate it.

Flavour is all the sour fruits you can think of, grape fruit, rhubarb, lemon, unripe apples and so on. A bit too acidic. reakt (937), Greater London, England

Amber with fizzy white head. Vinegar nose with lemon and white grapes to compliment. Taste to match with a finish of strawberries.Loooooooooooovely!
Re-rate - Bottle, again from Uto. I orighinally purchased a bottle of Rose De Gambrinus but as it turned out to be on draught at The Rake, Richard was kind enough to exchange my bottle for one of these instead. Opaque gold with a fluffy white head. Nose of vinegar, yeast, lemon and hay, some honey notes. Tart and tangy with some barnyard funk and a bit of yeast, honey again. Decent palate with a berry/hay finish. Top notch gueuze. beerlord (215), tonawanda, New York, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | Feb 14, 2007 Nice lambic nose to it, definalyt funky, nice deep golden color, thin mouth feel, prickley on the tonque ,one flavor and one flavor only comes through, sour apple, not at all balanced. Almost astringent. Had I not had better lambics and knew how good they could be this would turn me off to them, minch25 (357), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Feb 10, 2007 Funky hardcore lambic aroma. Hazy straw-colored appearance with no head and minimal carbonation in general. Traditional oude gueuze flavor with mouth-puckering acidity of sour green apples and lemon juice. Delicious. drewbeerme (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 29, 2007 375ml bottle, pours cloudy orange with white head. nose has really nice funky, hay, barnyard, brett, oak, and vinegar aroma. taste has some delicious sour grapefruit, lemon, and strawberry notes, mouthpuckering tart/sourness at first but finishes dry with mild fruit sweetness. this gueuze has more fruit notes and less sourness which makes it more drinkable than others i’ve had. extremely delicious. iowaherkeye (1859), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 29, 2007 750mL, no date as far as I can tell. Pours a hazy orange caramel with a one finger whitish head. Aroma is of course quite sour with some very sour apples and lemon, good amount of musty horseblanket funk, fresh dirt, oak, and some dried grass--not necessarily like hay though, if that makes sense. The flavor almost hints at some grape juice sweetness but pulls back before it can actually happen. This is pretty tart and tangy, though not the most sour gueuze I’ve ever encountered (not that I’ve had that many). The flavor pulls back on the funkiness a tad bit and some moderately bitter earthiness shows up just before the dry finish. The oaky quality isn’t quite as noticeable as is in some brews. Light to moderate carbonation, medium bodied. Very good, I have a feeling some cheeses would go great with this (don’t ask me what kind).
