Dec 8, 2006 375 ml bottle. Deep golden with a modest, eggwhite-like head. Powerful lambiek aromawith wood and sharp acidity. Acidic flavours, notes of wood and grapefruit, very dry.Fizzy. Harmonious. A great geuze it is.

Nov 25, 2006 750 mL bottle provided via trade with boutip. Pours light cloudy orange with spare fizzy white head, diminishing, spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, straw), average hops (grass, lemon), average yeast (leather, earth) with notes of grape, cassis and cask. Long duration, light to non-existent sweetness, moderate acidity and heavy bitterness. Medium bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation, bitter.

Nov 23, 2006 Updated: Sep 13, 2007750ml bottle, purchased at Chevy Chase Wine and Liquor in Washington DC. Pours a cloudy straw with a small white head. The smelly is distinctivley tart, and acidic, just what I would expect from a quality gueze. The taste is tart, sweet and yummy, a good gueze not Cantillon quality but close.

Nov 8, 2006 Hazy gold hue, with a white head, sour green apples fruitiness, barnyard, tartness accent, horse blanket, an acidic and wet oakiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a nice tartness and sourness character, with a faint fruity note of sour green apples, winey accent, hint of mustiness and wet wood, leading towards a dry fruity, sharp tartness finish.

Nov 6, 2006 I think a commonality of all these gueuzes is that horse blanket aroma. This is very hardcore sour and very tasty. Woohoo! Good Stuff.

Oct 21, 2006 Golden brown with a very slight white head. The aroma is sour with light hints of fruit. An even palate and smooth mouthfeel leads to sour flavors with just a hint of funk. There is an interesting sour "burn" in the aftertaste.

Oct 20, 2006 Bottle from Somerville Super Saver. The grapefruity citrus sourness of this beer mixes with a rather oaky woody almost dusty flavor. There are several layers to the sour tones which seem to float above each other. The dryness is smooth and it makes the acid content tolerable.

Oct 20, 2006 Bottle. Orange golden color and a nice foamy white head. Green apple and white wine aroma. Acidic with a green apple taste. Not bad, my best Geuze so far.
Bière de couleur orange doré avec un bon collet mousseux. Odeur de pomme verte et de vin blanc. Au goût, elle est acide mais, moin que la kriek et elle goute les pommes vertes. Pas mauvaise, ma meilleur Geuze jusqu’à maintenant.
