The head is respectable within style, although no lacing. The aroma is tart lemons, some barnyard. The flavor is all brett, lemons, some leather, some horseblankets, some barnyard. After it warms, a little bit more of the burnt rubber flavors in there with some acetic (vinegar) type flavors. Not as complex as I’d have assumed (I personally like the cheesy aspects), but refreshing, crisp, tart, and sour. Mouthfeel is certainly acidic. A little on the harsh side for a blended gueuze (almost came across as a straight lambic). thornecb (1804), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Started to foam up the head of the bottle, but quickly disspated when poured into the glass. Leather and horseblanket aromas. Light bodied and fizzy with tart, sour lemon peel flavors. Dry and lasting sour lactic finish. Quevillon (1536), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada

Orange golden with a little beige head, OK lacings. Aroma and flavor is more fruity and acidic than the average, very complex and drinkable, when you get used to it. luvcasks (178), USA

Aroma: When cold tart notes come thru. Once the beer warms up the fruity and funky brett notes become apparent
Appearance: Poured slightly cloudy and reddish with a huge white head which did not seem to last too long
Flavor: As expected the first flavor is nice tart wallop. Once I enjoy the pucker power the berry like and citrusy flavors help make the tarness more complex. As the beer warms up the indescribable funkiness from the brett seems more apparent
Overall: WOW! I have enjoyed 2 excellent sour beers in one day.... A delicious lambic with complexity behind the tartness to make me want to take yet another sip... oh my! my tongue is happily retired for now gputty (456), Virgina Beach, Virginia, USA

Flavor was complex and hard to get a handle on. Earthy, moldy, woody with a bit of pepper and sour finish. Dorwart (1828), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 23, 2006 Thin quickly diminishing head. Sour fruit aroma but not overpowering. Kind of soft and mellow. Some honey and apricots in there also. Golden orange in color. Fizzy in the mouth. Sour, tart fruit with a strong biting bitterness. Little blackberry in there. Strong sour and puckering finish. Not really my style. HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 19, 2006 Updated: Oct 11, 2006Bottle (375ml). Poured bright clear bubbly gold with an amber tint, smallish fizzy white head. Pleasing sharply yeasty citrus aroma, moderately funky-sour tartness isn’t quite the assault some of these have, but still lovely - gets funkier with more burnt rubber character as it warms. Taste - there’s the sharpness - light citrus tartness, some bitterness, no alcohol to notice, just funky wool/rubber/sneakers - nice. Mouthfeel is surprisingly watery, starts with decent body, then just seems to fall away - otherwise acidic, sharp yet not really carbonated - a nice drinking gueuze, but I prefer most roughness and funk.
