beerbuzzmontreal (2697), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 7, 2004 Updated: Oct 26, 2004 Orange amber color, not much of a head, just a ring of foam. Amazing funky horse blanket aroma with fruits. Again the funky horse blanket is felt in the flavor wit fruits and persistent acidity. Full body, dry and dusty mouthfeel. This gem is a tribute to belgian funkiness and what a small artisanal brewery can achieve.
djtimeless (40), Alabama, USA Aug 19, 2008 Pours out hazy gold. Taste is tart and crisp with a little funk. Nice balance. Not to sour. Great gueuze for the $. BoBoChamp (618), Gent, Belgium Jul 28, 2008 38cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex, balanced, hazy, good head, good sour geuze 1FastSTi (2388), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Jul 28, 2008 Bottle of non-recorded vintage. The beer was quite tart and leathery. But, for a gueuze pretty balanced. Not overly puckering. A nice carbonated palate with acid, bitterness, and acetic qualities. The beer reminded me of a Cantillon Classic Gueuze I had earlier in the week. bb (2069), Martinez, California, USA Jul 26, 2008 Bottle. Amber beer with a nice off-white head. Tart, slight lemony, slight acetic aroma. Tart/sour flavor with some earth and light lemony citrus. Some balancing sweetness. Decent acetic notes. Medium body. Lingering acetic sour with wood and earth. Geuzelambix (56), København, Denmark Jul 21, 2008 This is how a geuze is supposed to be. An aroma which is nearly bad but at the same time promising, a flavor of heaven with sour, bitter and surprising elements melting together - try this now!
