No clue of vintage but it was certainly not red giving me the impression it was older. Pour copper no head, big huge tart cherry nose. Taste was huge with a big mouth tingling tart pucker. Damn nice, much better than the first time around.
375ml bottle via trade with biggcb. Many thanks. Always happy to try another authentic kriek. The pour is cloudy oragne with no head. Aroma is sweet, cherry with a bit of the lambic funk. The taste is big and sour and really quite spectacular. Very good kriek. DrHomolka (731), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 5, 2007 750ml bottle. Pours a sunburnt orange color with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is musty, tart, sour, hay, horsy, barn, yeast, etc. Classic lambic smell. Taste is sweet, tart, cherries, light bodied, acidic. This could have a little more kick to it. It’s a little too thin and lacks the complexity and oomph to make it a great kriek. This is still very good and I enjoyed it thoroughly though it is not perfect. I’m really starting to come around to lambics. I think I have acquired the taste. Variety (27), Belgium
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 30, 2007 (bottle) A magnificent experience, with the ruby red colour, tantalising aroma and exciting taste. Krieks should be drunk relatively soon, as the cherriness tends to drop off after six months or so. can8ianben (911), Pasadena, California, USA

Wow, what a punch in the face. I’ve said that before about beers, but this one takes the cake. Very sour lemon/cherry flavour! There is a faint straw/citrus/yeast/fermentation aroma and a very dry almost salty (as a previous rater had said). Almost no head, even with a vigorous pour. Wow, as I drink this, it really makes me pucker. Its a hard one to swallow, my wife took one sip and almost lost it. It’s not for the faint of heart. reakt (937), Greater London, England

Not like the picture at all. Funny, it’s more of a lemon lime nose than cherry, much like a regular geueze rather than a kriek. Sour and tangy, which I like but still no sign of cherries, did I get a mislabelled bottle?. Salty with notes of yeast. Acidic and fizzy, sediment from the last pour adds some body. Good but not what I expected. (8/3/8/3/16) Bottle from Nelson Wines. Wow, this is the best bottle of this I’ve ever had, so much rich black cherry and lambic funk, wow, just amazing! vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Pours dark amber with almost no head. The aroma is lightly sour and quite tart with some light cherries that add to the other tartness. The aroma is quite full for a lambic. Medium body that is more full than most lambics with lots of crisp sharpness. The taste starts with a lush version of tartness, wild lambic yeast, sharp spice and tart cherries - very rich for the style, yet there is a sharp citric bite. The finish has much of the same. Thumbs up </B. for this enjoyable and wonderful lambic. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 12, 2007 750 ml bottle Very sour acidic cherry aromas off this very ruby brew. Very small head that left quickly. What a crazy sour flavor. I have had plenty sour beers, but this one seems to be the sourest so far. Sour cherries, and still acidic through the finish. Very yummy. Now to have this pucker surgically removed from my face.... mephisto (1144), Taiwan
