Jun 21, 2009 @Pilsner Petes East Coast Gathering-750ml bottle-pours a disappearing white head and cloudy red/brown color. Aroma is funky/barn yeast, medium fruit. Taste is tart cranberry, funky/barn yeast, some hops bite. OK carbonation. Interesting. Feels like angels are kissing my face-tm rciesla. Thanks eyedrinkale for sharing.

Jun 21, 2009 Pours a brilliant cherry red color with a fizzy off-white head that dies out quickly from all the acidity. Aroma is sour black cherries and a slight funky note. Flavor is tart cherry and strawberry with some nice acidity. Not too sour. Some funky oaky character on the finish. Medium-thin body, dry, lingering finish.

Jun 13, 2009 Updated: Jun 14, 2009750 mL bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Odd, pink/orange pour with a thn white head that quickly fades. Very sour and vinegary aroma that smells nothing at all like most kriek beers. Jaw clinchingly sour; this is one tart beer! I actually like how sour it is but this is no kriek. As a sour it works but the label is misleading.

May 27, 2009 the sourness is just too much for me. the palate gives a fruity taste but leaves something unpleasant the cherry are very good though.

May 27, 2009 The aroma is sour and fruity with a definite cherry presence. The appearance is deep red with a pink foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma with a urinal cake finish. The palate is average. Overall there is nothing here to like.

May 17, 2009 How I love my krieks. Pours a wonderfully clear red minimal head. Amazing aroma of cherries and oakiness. Lovely taste of tart, acidic cherries. A very interesting finish of cherries and something funky. Either way, a lovely ending, especially at a temperature that had come down after the start out of the fridge.

May 8, 2009 Daytona 500 tasting. C&C 750. Clear red with no head. Sweet cherry nose, some tartness and a light woodiness. Tasty tart cherry flavor, not overly sweet until late, I like this a lot!

Apr 22, 2009 Beautiful burnt rose with light, off-white head / Funky, bretty nose of sour cherries and oak / Light body, very tart and a touch thin, with good finish / Flavors of sour cherries, oak, and big, skunky, barnyard brett / Weak body a problem, but otherwise very good.
