Malty nose with notes of dried fruit (apricots, raisins) and rubbery hops. Rather vinous. Malty taste with dried fruit (apricots) and lots of spicy, earthy hops in the finish. Rather sweet and vinous. More than medium body. Powerful, but with a good balance and a nice hop character. A deep orange/brown colored beer with a small head. Expressive smells of chocolate, brown sugar, sugared fruits and caramel. Flavor has nice balance, lots of taste, mostly malt accented and possesses notes of caramel and nuts. Quite a nice beer. ekstedt (1954), Göteborg, Sweden May 12, 2008 Bottle (33 cl), thanks gnoff. Hazy mahogny, creamy beige head. Very nutty aroma, with fudge and mild earthy & herbal hops. Medium bodied and smooth. Very well balanced with a long bitter finish. Very good.
