3 June 2005 - (De Yserpoort) - Nice light fruit aroma. Golden blond colour, good head retention and reasonable lacing. Lovely light fruit flavour. Nice fruit hop balance and some lingering fruit.

This golden ale has intense beading, lively carbonation, and a HUGE, dense white head. It’s not a complex drink, but still a very good one. The aroma is lightly fruity and covered with flowery hop scents. Very lively in the mouth, there’s a taste of apple & cherry fruitiness, alcohol, and a light perfumy hop bitterness. The finish is long, dry, and satisfying. I wish it was more readily available in the Chicago area.

This beer has a medium body. A nice bittery taste with a soft malty character. It has a good aftertaste that reminds me of fruits. A very good beer. (Bottle 33cl)

Good carbonation; fruity odor. Not my favorite type of beer, but pretty decent. I must say I was impressed.

A 1cm sheet of egg shell white stay forever on top of the deep murky golden hue with lots of sediments, just like I love them, intense glass coating capacity. Boastful saaz reaches the nose, very floral, marrying the delicate honeyed maltiness. Okay, not the most complex Belgian beer around, but it’s still in my genre, a nice little herbal, algae like tartness kicks in as it warms, as well as a sweetness I usually associate with vanilla flavoured waffles, probably from the biscuity pils malt paired with a wheaty feel though I doubt they use any. Finishes a bit shorter than I expected, the biscuit aspects seem to limit the noble bitterness. Very smooth on the tongue, silky palate. Reaching room temp, a surprising wamth reaches the mind, possibly enhanced by the still active small bubbles. Medium bodied, at best, it feels smaller than it is, leaving just a souvenir of those fragrant, crisp saaz hops.

Malt hop aroma with a chemical hit. Clear yellow colour with lots of bubbles, good head and lacing. Strong malt hop grassy flavour. Fizzy palate.

Golden colour, not much sediment. Huge, airy head. Citrus and yeast nose. Light fruity and yeast flavour. Alcohol- bitter finish. A decent Duvel-clone.
