| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 19, 2004 I was very unimpressed with this beer overall. I was expecting a lot of hoppiness since it is an IPA, but it had a very mild hop flavor. The appearance is a light amber orange, with a little bit of cloudiness. There wasn't any head to speak about. I guess I just think it was kind of bland for an IPA. It wasn't a bad beer, just not what I expected. dberger624 (1028), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA

Head is small, and disappears completely after a short while. Initial tastes is of light grapefruit with some piney bite to it. Not bad, but not special either. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 7, 2003 Mildly sweet aroma, apple-sweet overtones. Starts hits you right away. Pale malt start, with a stale hop finish. Cascade hops in the aftertaste. This beer is pretty unremarkable because it has a very weak malt backbone and the hops aren't interesting enough to compensate for that. Strykzone (1499), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 26, 2003 Funny thing about this beer, it started out quite tasty but slowly lost its appeal. It is a handsome beer albeit with some sort of heavier than beer material that sank to the bottom of the glass. beerguy101 (3971), Newark, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 14, 2003 Medium brown color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is malty and citrusy. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are surprisingly nutty and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and piney. NOT a typical IPA, the hoppiness is there, but the malts are more like a brown ale. It make for a interesting/confusing combination. Nicely balanced. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
