Head was thick, creamy, and white with good retention and lacing. Good looking beer, but the positive news ends there. The aroma was predominantly of rusty nails with a bit of sprucy hop and caramel in the background. Prickly mouth feel with carbonation on the higher end of the spectrum. Slightly sweet with mild hop bitterness of about 2-3 out of 10. The malt backbone was as frail as the hops. The flavor palate included stale sprucy hop, subdued caramel, and biscuity malt. The appearance was full tilt, but the beer pretty much capsized after that. hombrepalo (769), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 6, 2008 Hazy straw orange color. Bitter and medicinal up front, with some vague orange notes and a slick, bitter, wet hop flavor. Almost turning sour in the finish, and certainly acidic. Turns into something that is not very fun to drink. A 7th percentile IPA for sure. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 4, 2007 Golden brown in pour and slightly cloudy with a small white head. Not much hops on the nose. More like old well water. The hop flavor in this is very mellow for an IPA. Not much flavor. iowaherkeye (1856), Los Angeles, California, USA
