In the bottle. Thanks to KJ. Pours a reddish amber color with a thin and quick off white head. Aroma of mild hoppiness, but taste is a large drying bitterness. Oakey and long in residual mouthfeel. Body medium and does not pair as well with the single drying hop character.

Foamy head, lots of lingering lace. Plenty of hops in the nose for balance. Distributor said that the owners/brewers are cousins of the folks at new belgian (Fat Tire) outta Colorado using same recipes. Definitely not the same beer though. It’s not bad, could be a session. Could also use some major tweaking. Got this one in bottle at Bodega downtown.

My favorite Harbor City beer. This amber pours a, well, amber color with thin offwhite lacing rather than a head. Very, very nice balance of malts and hops, perfect amount of bitterness and smoothness to make this beer very easy to enjoy. It’s one imperfection is a very slight metallic aftertaste that sometimes appears when the beer warms. However, I rarely let my pints get to that point!

Red caramel somewhat hazy in color. Small head with no lacing. Very slight caramel hop with light body. Great summer time beer! Fat Tire??

Coppeer Coloring with White Skin. Sweet Malty Aroma. Stale Grains and Bitter Dry Finish. Not My Favorite Amber.

Bottle acquired in trade with Jcapriotti (thanks!). Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, citrus, oranges and light nuts. Tastes of caramel and citrus with a light spiciness to it. Thinner body.

Amber color with no head. Good aroma of floral hops. Taste is... a blank slate. An unfortunate end to what the aroma promised.

Good caramel malt and slightly spicy hop aroma. Dark amber with thin white head that clings to the edges but leaves no lace. Flavor is dominated by medium-to-high bitteness with some malt support but not as much as the aroma suggests. The malt comes in to play more as the beer warms. (I need to get a separate fridge for ales so I don’t have to wait for them to warm up to cellar temperature, but I digress.) Medium body and palate. Gets the job done without a lot of pizazz. I won’t go out of my way for this beer but I’d serve it / drink it at a party.
