| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Jun 4, 2004 Rich amber color with foamy white head. Nothing after that. Lacked any definitive aroma or taste. Watery and weak. Pathetic. JMerritt (1320), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Apr 27, 2004 Amber colored, clear, with a nice white head that is mostly diminishing except for a balding film of off-white, loosely packed bubbles. Sweet, fruity and sugary aroma, like a mix between strawberries and juniper berries, mixed with cookies and fresh pine tar. Initially sweet flavor turns mildly hoppy (pine needles) for an split second, then wanes into weak sweet malt. Finish is sweet and slightly glassy. Lingering aftertaste is sour. Nice carbonation balance, but overall, it comes off as rather light in flavor and lacking in character. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 19, 2004 Aroma has some kind of fruitiness in it like raspberries (barely detectable). Also has some light milk chocolate hints in it. Has a redish gold hue in the body. Feels slightly watery, but not too bad, as the body is well enough there. Has a light earthy type of malt to it, with some hops also. There's defintely more hops in the taste than the aroma. And actually, it is quite well-balanced, albeit light in flavor. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 25, 2004 amber color, thick and frothy light beige head. aroma is dominated by citrusy hops. flavor has a mild citrusy quality, with chocolate and a light roastiness dominating the flavor...not bad for a standard amber! flavor is a little bit thin, but not bad. jah noth (1020), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 25, 2004 This is a fairly nondistinguishing amber, but nonetheless is a nice drinking ale. Aroma is fairly nonexistent with a small head. Brilliant amber in appearance. Caramel malt flavor with a nice hoppy balance. A little tingly on the tongue. Not too bad. fuyajo (225), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 17, 2004 Mild aroma, pours with little head. Dark honey color. The beer is quite drinkable and nonoffensive. The finish is a tad hoppy, but there is little aftertaste at all; it's a clean-finishing beer. We had heard that this was supposed to be similar to Fat Tire beer (apparently the cousin of one of the brewers of Fat Tire) but, after drinking the two beers back-to-back, I'd say the Fat Tire is better (although still over rated). bob32256 (171), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
