Whew, I cannot describe the head ache pain I had the next morning after drinking this one night. Stay away from the Hard Core. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

I was dismayed to see that I gave this a 0.8. This is on a short list of things that I will never drink again, unless I'm stuck on a desert island for life or in Hell. First rating: Holy shit! I'll be lucky if I'm alive in the morning, never-mind finishing this. Sweet and sour in a really bad way. No head. The dark color is the ONLY thing going for this. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 2, 2003 Why is this brew rated so low it great stuff.Nice amber color, nearly no head, strong apple aroma.Sweet/sour apple taste that is quite pleasant but i fear will lead to some hard core after effects as many of my fellow raters have posted.Over all i don't think this brew is rated very well i think it deserves a higher place.Hard to say what is the best cider since i'm not an aficciando(spelling problem) but i know what i like and this is a pretty decent cider and worth a decent rate. frankenkitty (1902), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 22, 2006 Pours a deep ruby/mahogany with a slight fizz, but no head whatsoever. Apple aroma with light vinegar notes. Flavor is crisp apple tartness with a kiss of cherry and a drop of honey. No "wooden" notes... the only evidence of barrel-aging is in its smoothness - it holds light astringence, but its sourness isn’t upsetting.
