The aroma is sweet with strong notes of apples with a weak underlying note of acidity. The flavor is dominated by apples on a weak acidic background, leading to a dry woody finish. Comments: Pretty complex this. Lots of yeast character, sometimes bordering plastic, leather, higher alcohols or phenols, but multi-faceted, woody cider.

Polypin at GBBF. A bit oily and fatty I thought but just before it was verging on the unpleasant there was a lovely smoky note that really sorted it out. Not dry enough for me to be honest. Oily again in the finish. Not fantastic. harrisoni (6947), Ashford, Kent, England
