bconley (351), Fern Park, Florida, USA Mar 23, 2009 Vintage 1993 can enjoyed at Otown throwdown. Nasty. Gross. Putrid. Hell Yeah!!! gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 19, 2009 1993 can. Copper light golden pour, thin white head and lacing. Nose has a fishy saltiness with corn grain and some sweet something or another. Flavor is sweet and grainy, not that good. But, surprisingly not horrific. daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA Mar 16, 2009 Good lord this was rank ass. dchmela with the gem of the day at the Otown throwdown. Smelled and tasted of a cheap nasty sherry wine. Bad news folks. GodOfThunder (855), Orlando, Florida, USA Mar 16, 2009 dchamela comes through with a sick surprise swill for the O-Town Throwdown ’09. 1993 vintage. Looks, smells, tastes and has the viscosity of motor oil that was drained from your ’79 Olds Cutlass. This was vile. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 15, 2009 Updated: Mar 17, 2009Sample at O-town throwdown ’09
can 1993
pours golden.
aroma and taste were overly sweet with corn like palate and pale mats. Was getting a lot of sweetness with flavor almost of strawberry with no trace of hops. Finish wasn’t the best, had soy notes.
Not sure if it was the amazing beers of the tasting but this one tasted ok for a pale lager with 16 years on it.
Probably overrated, but i’ll blame it on drinking and rating. JesseM (660), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Mar 7, 2009 Updated: Mar 15, 2009355ml can at our 2nd KW group tasting. 1997 vintage thanks to Jan Primus! OMG! Pours still totally clear, no haze, smells like sour apple juice, fragrant really, quite something. Flavour is surprisingly smooth and empty, fizzy old apple juice. Fascinating, truly, what a specimen. Couldn’t have more than several sips but what I did have was just extrordinarily................moving. UnholyBrewing (448), Melbourne(Mulgrave), Australia Mar 28, 2008 ...I had no idea they still made this, along with the cigs. I gave it points caus eI had it back n the day when I was really young, and I remembered it tasted like hell. Beerdedone (1873), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA May 30, 2006 Bottle. Pours yellow gold with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, grain, corn. Flavor is weak, watered down, corn, grain. Thin bodied, yet drinkable.
