A perfectly middle-of-the-road sweet stout. It might be a good session beer. Otherwise it had no real stand-out characteristics.

small tan head that settles quickly, some spotty lace. Clear, mahogany colored brew. Nose of light roast, lightly bready. Body is med/light, fairly thin on the palate, uneventful. Thin chocolate flavors with a light roastiness and a touch earthy, some caramel notes as well. Dry, roasty finish. Props to Robert for the bottle and my buddy shoeman for enjoying it with me, thanks Jim! Thanks for the lasagna also, well done!

Sampled with stegosaurus on our second Boston tour. I forget the place we had it at but I am sure he will remember.Dark pour with off white head. Roast aroma and in taste as well. Mouth feel was a little thin and it could have been balanced better. Not a bad brew but I was dissapointed a little.

Very dark brown with a thin tan head. Weird, soft aroma of raisins and earth. Hollow flavor - some roastiness and light coffee notes. Very short finish. Watery body.

12 oz "Encore Series" bottle.
