A light head that disappates rather quickly. The aroma is yeasty. I also get some fruitiness to it: hints of raisin and some pepper also. The taste is somewhat dry. There are hints of clove and caramel. The best way to describe it seems to be a slightly light version of a dubbel/trippel hybrid. It suprisingly works well. I could find myself drinking quite a few of these! TimE (1308), Tokyo, Japan
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 12, 2004 I found to be a light, milk chocolately brew, with smooth hints of figs and a touch of earthiness, all complemented by a rounded, yet dry finish. Sampled on draft at Redbones in Boston. Odd I am seem to be the only one who actually found this to be a dubble. Hopistotle420 (1178), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA

I like the marshmallow call by Mr.Kimchee, as well as some alcohol pepperyness. I agree again as this is perhaps some sort of cross between a light colored dubbel and a triple. Sweet, yeasty, spicy palate, nice texture and mouthfeel, although I feel its lacking something. But, if Harpoon starts going Belgium regularly, as it did with the Wit, they may strike gold! mrkimchee (1414), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 7, 2004 hazy orange, small head. aroma of yeast, marshmallow, caramel, pepper and a bit of honey. seems stuck half way between dubbel and triple, which semed a little muddled and didn't quite do it for me. not bad, but a little confused. argo0 (6958), Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 2, 2004 Updated: Jan 4, 2004This strikes me as much more a tripel than a dubbel. Nevertheless, clear light-amber body with small off-white head. Aroma is candy sugar sweet, orange, some spearmint, light alcohol. Taste is candy sugar sweet, orange, some yeast and raisin. Medium-full body. Oakes (8108), gone rambling, Cambodia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 28, 2003 Orangey, hazy appearance seems like a dubbel/tripel hybrid to me. The aroma is of pale malts, yeast, hops. Light, fluffy, somewhat apricoty dubbel flavours, but with a drier, yeastier tripel finish. I wondered what precisely they meant by "abbey-style" and now I know - they mean that they were shooting for either a dubbel or a tripel but got both! Holdwine (908), Beertimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2003 Nice job. This is part of their 100 kegs special brews. Nice yeasty aroma, pleasant golden wheat color. Tartness is pleasing as well. Very simple taste. Easy to drink, lacks complexity.
