| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 4, 2007 12 oz bottle purchased from Jasper’s in Nashua N.H. Pours a deep golded color with a 1/2" white head. Not much in the way of lacing. Very smooth right from the start. Alcohol is well hidden. Taste is malty and sweet. Hints of fruit and light touches of caramel and toffee. A little hoppy flavor for balance. Some have commented on the finish being bitter, but I did not think so. Not a remarkable brew, but an enjoyable one. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Pours a slightly cloudy amber golden with a yellowish head. Fresh and fruity nose - some chewing gum. Rather full-bodied, surprisingly salty with some accents of overripe fruit. A touch of sherry and a rather bitter finish. Not the world’s most sophisticated Barley Wine. 180807 yespr (12173), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 20, 2007 12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow with almost no head. Slight sweet malty aroma. Sweetish flavour, very wellhidden alcohol. Grainy note, slight pineneedle flavour. Warming finish. Not bad but not really great either. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 5, 2007 Copper color; poor head. Aroma of malt (light), ruhm, buttery. Much thinner than expected, some toffee taste, too much alcohol, quite strong bitterness. More Strong Ale and Strong Lager than Barley Wine. Disappointed.
