Commercial Description:
Our Barleywine pours a reddish, golden hue with a slight carbonation. The piney, citric aroma and flavors coupled with the sweet malt character reflect the generous amounts of ingredients used to brew this beer. The warming finish of this rich, full-bodied ale make it the perfect cold weather companion.

poured from a 12oz.Kind of dissapointed they shed the bomber.Pours light amber with a small white head. The nose was sweet with hints of flowers. At 1st the hops stood up on the flavor then settled to a semi sweet fruitiness.this finished off slightly warm with some bitterness.

12oz bottle. Poured a light to medium amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, citrus, spicey, and a little fruity. Tastes of caramel, fruitiness, citrus, and lighter spices. Alcohol burn in the finish.

Encore edition - aged 1 year. Pours amber into a snifter. Off-white head quickly recedes to skim surface. Caramel aromas. Sweet caramel from front-to-back and slightly thin.

12 oz bottle purchased from Jasper’s in Nashua N.H. Pours a deep golded color with a 1/2" white head. Not much in the way of lacing. Very smooth right from the start. Alcohol is well hidden. Taste is malty and sweet. Hints of fruit and light touches of caramel and toffee. A little hoppy flavor for balance. Some have commented on the finish being bitter, but I did not think so. Not a remarkable brew, but an enjoyable one.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a slightly cloudy amber golden with a yellowish head. Fresh and fruity nose - some chewing gum. Rather full-bodied, surprisingly salty with some accents of overripe fruit. A touch of sherry and a rather bitter finish. Not the world’s most sophisticated Barley Wine. 180807

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow with almost no head. Slight sweet malty aroma. Sweetish flavour, very wellhidden alcohol. Grainy note, slight pineneedle flavour. Warming finish. Not bad but not really great either.

Copper color; poor head. Aroma of malt (light), ruhm, buttery. Much thinner than expected, some toffee taste, too much alcohol, quite strong bitterness. More Strong Ale and Strong Lager than Barley Wine. Disappointed.
