Sweet and juicy, surprisingly slim for it’s high abv. Fruity and rounded with some syrup to with the citric hops. A well balanced cross of US and English style barley wines. jason (1624), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a clear golden body with big soapy ring around the snifter. Aroma is of soapy hops, alcohol. Taste at first is way too hot and hoppy. This warmed up to me as it warmed making it smoother than it was. Has a high amount of alcohol burn to it. Not too bad commming from harpoon, not sure on how this one would hold up. blinesam (233), USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Apr 18, 2007 12oz bottle, poured into glass, tastes very simalar to farm house ale, not really a fan of the super high abv, at 10.3% it is pretty much all I noticed, the carbonation was a nice touch but would rather drink wine or something because of the overpowering abv nolankowal (854), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2007 Bottle. Orange pour with a white head.Aroma of lemon zest and a some light caramel malt, some spices as well. Flavor was of earthy hops, caramel malt, yeast and a bit of mint. Bittersweet throughout the thin body with a bitter finish. Kind of an oddball barley wine. jimhilt (1688), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 2, 2007 Pours a three finger off-white head that fades quickly to a ring leaving some lace. Crystal clear amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Piney citric nose. Flavor is grapefruit and some malt, high ABV is not noticeable. Bitter after taste. $2.00 for a 12oz bottle from Capital Convenience Concord, NH. lordeche (397), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2007 Not an awful beer, but not a very good barley wine. Extremely sweet with slight bitterness. More yeast than I usually taste in a barley wine. Body is a little thin. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 15, 2007 Bottle: Pours a clear orange gold in color with a white head. Aroma, caramel, some spice, and some pale malts. Flavor, spice, pale malts, caramel, some floral notes, some slight alcohol, just seemed thin and not very malty for a barleywine.
