Jul 18, 2004 Pours an amber color with a small ivory head. Very fruity aroma with a faint hop backing. Taste is very fruity, slightly tart, woody and malty, with a bitter end.

Jul 9, 2004 Bottle. Cherry-amber color, light yellow head. Weak flavor up-front, before a complex woodiness comes through in the end with hints of tobacco. Floral and somewhat pungent aroma. Too thin of a mouthfeel for me to really enjoy.

Jul 9, 2004 Excellent in the glass, very very translucent and clear, resinous top, earthy copper in color, old earthy flavors, light medium effervescence, a bit of pencil eraser in the nose, a lot of flavor for such a light beer.

Jun 30, 2004 Clear sparkling copper body wth small head. Caramel malt is very forward in aroma with a light earthy yeast presence. Medium-bodied, lightly sweet with a lasting, sharply bitter finish. Maltier than other alts I’ve tried.
