Commercial Description:
Framboise, French for "raspberry", is a Belgian-style fruit lambic. Made with more than 4,600 pounds of raspberries, 50% wheat at a gravity of 14°p it has all the makings of a great summer time beer. Highly carbonated, it produces a wonderfully pink, lacey head. The burgundy color foretells of intense raspberry aromas. A nice, sweet start finishing with a tart and acidic finish that is light and refreshing.
Released again in late 2006 in 12oz bottles and draught.

Tasting at Immy’s. From bomber. Pours a pink/peach/orange color with white head. Nose is raspberry and black berry. Flavor is very tart and thin, with light raspberry.

Bottle at Immy’s Tasting on 7-22-06. Ruddy orange or pinkish amber. Odd color... Nose is raspberry and wheat with a hint of strawberry jam. Taste is raspberry, light strawberry notes and lots of wheat/grains. Body is light with mild tartness and dry towards the end. Finishes with fainter raspberry and more grains.

From Immy’s tasting. Light pinkish amber red, slight head. Sweaty armpit aroma. Not in a good way. Flavor was some grain, more armpit, and slight raspberry. A bit tart, but more sweet. Not too good. This might be a bit overrated by me at a 2.5.

From Immy’s Tasting. Hazy light amber color with a thin off-white head. Sweet honey-like aroma. Sweet fruity flavor, somewhat watery.

A very light bodied beer with a hint of fruit flavor. Kind of watery aftertaste with a splash of lime. Had this one at Immy’s Tasting.

22oz. bomber: This one pours a cloudy reddish color with brown tints. There was a fairly good sized pink head on it when it was poured, but it was gone very quickly. The nose is definitely raspberry, but a little weaker than I would have expected or liked. The flavor is that of a tart raspberry lambic, but a little weak of flavor and body. A decent enough attempt, but I don’t think that I’ll be buying any more.

22oz - session 11 - Aroma of raspberry, alcohol, and yeast. Pours cloudy red with a ring for head decent lacing. Flavor matches aroma but is not very strong at all. Palate is thin and not sour or sweet, just kinda there. Not a very good brew.

Had to go back through my notes to find this one from one of my gatherings. Pours a hazy mostly dirty looking artificial pink look with a fizzy head. Smells like faded out not-so-fresh raspberries- could have been either fresher or more pronounced. Also, there was a wierd chlorine-like aroma without the brett, or lactobacillus bacteria characteristics. Slightly sweet flavor with more raspberries, but it becomes slick and astringent in the end. Light bitter finish and just not like any other framboise I have ever had. Not authentic at all. Blah.
