Commercial Description:
Framboise, French for "raspberry", is a Belgian-style fruit lambic. Made with more than 4,600 pounds of raspberries, 50% wheat at a gravity of 14°p it has all the makings of a great summer time beer. Highly carbonated, it produces a wonderfully pink, lacey head. The burgundy color foretells of intense raspberry aromas. A nice, sweet start finishing with a tart and acidic finish that is light and refreshing.
Released again in late 2006 in 12oz bottles and draught.

Hazy reddish-amber hue, with a frothy pale pinkyish head, with a predominant raspberry purée nose, with a hint of caramelized malt, and a note of tart fruitiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a smooth raspberry fruity flavor at first, but with a tart acidic raspberry fruitiness character, with a faint floral hops, leading towards a sour juicy fruity raspberry finish.

Pours a red tinged brown, very little head. Nose is slightly acrid sour raspberry. Flavor is tart, slightly sweet/sour raspberries. Rather dry finish. OK.

Not a moment is wasted once the cap is popped on this bottle. An intense blast of fresh raspberry fields launches onto your sniffer. We reached to find some other scents, but this beer is all raspberry, all the time. No malts, no hops, no yeast, just sweet sweet raspberry. It pours a medium red color with a delightfully large, pink fizzy head. Hardly any lacing is left behind, and the head doesn’t stick around for too long, although this beer isn’t about presentation, despite its high marks for its remarkable color and hazy body. Sean felt this one smelled like a raspberry popsicle. The initial flavor is as expected...sweet. However, it does quickly turn over to a tart taste, as one would expect to find in a fresh-baked raspberry pie. Mouthfeel is light with lively carbonation, leaving a watery finish behind. It gave MB sticky lips.

(bottle - 22 oz) Cloudy pink/strawberry pour with a quickly fading pink head. Thick and sweet aroma of raspberry puree and some caramel. Sweet and tangy taste of raspberries and the slightest touch of hops at the end. Very tangy and spicy on the tongue and slightly warming at the end.
