22 oz bottle, generously traded in person by muzzlehatch. The hue is a deep brassy amber and clean with lively carbonation. Slowly receding is a generous frothy off-white head that has some tenacious clinging abilities. The aroma is intensely inviting and pisses all over the notion that a light(er) lager can’t be powerful. Significant yet spry malt aromas of bread, biscuits, fresh malted grain and a touch of dark honey (nothing as bright as orange blosom, at any rate). Strong floral and cedar hop tones counter the malts and it’s all met by a crisp yeast profile. Sort of like licking an old copper pot. Except smelling that. The malts taste wonderfully vibrant as well. Never really strays away from the middle of the road in terms of sweetness or bitterness. There is a definite lager yeast bite here, which I find to be pleasantly refreshing. The mouthfeel suffers at the hands of a metallic tinge and light astringency though. Otherwise, it’s of medium weight, creamy and has lively carbonation. Still, it’s a damn fine beer and I can’t wait to share my other bottles.

22 oz bottle. Pours clear reddish-orange-gold with a creamy off white head. Lots of carbonation. Dense lace! Sweetly malty nose, some sugar cookie and citrus. Flavor is rather bitter, some light sourness, a defined graininess. Slightly pasty, bitter finish. Good.

Bottle courtesy of DYCSoccer17. Barley malt and somewhat soapy aroma. Amber/ Orange in color with white foamy head that stayed till beer was finished. Left a blanket of lace on the glass. Flavor was like a typical lager grainy and medium bitterness. Bitterness left on palate but a refreshing brew.

Beer pours a clear medium copper with a small, white, frothy, mostly diminishing head. The aroma is malty with moderate notes of husky toasted grain and caramel; hoppy with light notes of resin/pine and herb; yeasty with moderate notes of basement and sharp cheese; moderate diacetyl. The flavor is moderately-to-heavily sweet, lightly bitter with a long, moderately bitter, lightly sweet finish. Husky aftertaste. The body is light, the texture is watery, the carbonation is lively and I’m not drinking any more of this. :P

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (grain, cookie), lightly to moderately hoppy (apricot, resin), lightly yeasty (dough, cobwebs), with a note of peach. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lighlty acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Strangely dull mouth experience, hard to explain...expected antiquey, cellarish, but instead just got dusty and dreary. Not a lot of aroma and the hop angle is out of place (piney belches) for an attempt at this kind of beer. Still, not a bad beer in general.
