Flavour is really quite nice. The taste starts off nice and full, leading to some nice malts in the aftertaste. I am rather impressed with this beer. This was my first kellerbier, and it’s led me to seek out other examples.

9/12/2007: Harpoon Kellerbier produces a beautiful pour. It is a hazy orange-amber color, with a large and pillowy off-white head that never completely dissapears and leaves decent foamy lacing. The aroma is sharp and grassy at first, then it softens and some pale sweet malts with a touch of caramel is noticeable. The flavor is toasty, bready malt with a pleasing earthy quality and a balanced, spicy hop, and moderately bitter and dry finish. It is quite hoppy for a lager, but still very good! This beer has a medium body and is a bit chewy, but fits well with the other characteristics of the beer. I really enjoyed this offering from Harpoon and hope that their future "100 Barrel" beers are just as good if not better!
