Looks and smells alot like a Marzen. Flavor is mostly malty, also spicy, with a touch of biscuit and some citrus from some nice hop presence. Flavor was very well rounded and balanced. Finish is a little watery but also a little crisp. I love Harpoon, I usually like Kellers, but this was above average at best. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA

Flavor at first gives me a slight bitter thing going on, and then a few seconds later it all changes and I get a great roasted character to it. I think this is a very good beer. Definitely worth trying. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 27, 2007 Ruby tinted with a nice, thick, head. Very nice clean hoppy aroma. Flavor is very earthy hops, and malt. Medium bitterness, although this is my first Keller. Without knowing much about the style, I would say this is a little harsh. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2007 Bottle sampled on 5/8/07: Pours a hazy orange bronze with a wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of earthy musty grainy German malt with some floral noble hops. Body starts fairly thin, but has decent, earthy grainy malt flavor and a bigger, slightly citrusy bittering hop finish. A pretty good Kellerbier Maverick34 (711), New York, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2007 Cloudy amber pour with a thin white head. Interesting aroma of hops, fruits and malt. The flavor has the same profile than the aroma but it feels a bit flat. The body is light with moderate carbonation. Drew (2409), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 13, 2007 Oh, the smell, loved the smell - one of those odd beers that I can remember the smell months later just thinking about it - now if I could only find the words - what immediately comes to mind is fresh malts, springtime fresh cut hops and grass, a large dose of earthiness. Taste is fresh and malty, not too sweet, very smooth, the just bright enough hops don’t really come in until the end and then you want another sip and a full nose full of the aroma. I’d love to buy this again, but it’s been awhile and I just know that I’d be disappointed.
